Snowboard too long for me?
I just got a Forum Superstar 148 but I'm only 5'1" and 95 lbs. Is my snowboard too long for me or will I be able to get used to it?
oh and i forgot but my boots are a women's 6
It's on the long side for you but if you want to ride in powder then it's fine. However, riding in powder is difficult for a beginner.
I am 5'7 and have a few boards, my shortest is a 147cm which i use to tool around on crappy icy spring snow and it's just a silly board, fun to make quick turns.
You will probably be able to get used to it but you may adopt some bad habits in the process. It will be faster than a board that actually fits you (bottom of chin to upper lip height if not in powder). It may be a great board if you plan on riding halfpipe. But it will make it more difficult for you to learn
