Is this a good snowboard gear combo?
I am a female beginner/intermediate snowboarder. I have a size 7.5-8 shoe am 5'4" and 118 lb. I bought the Roxy sugar daydreamer 142 it is a freestyle board, 2009 ride strut blue and white bindings. But here's the problem I bought Forum destroyer boots but they're too small so I'm going to take them back for the 2009 Rome Smith boots. Does this seem like the right gear for a beginner but a long lasting investment? Also, do you think they look good together? All answers are appriciated!! Thanks!!

Lady heres the thing, ppl can give you recomendations for boards and bindings, but the boot choice should be entirely up to you. Everyones feet are unique. Hell, my right calf is bigger than my left one. The boots are the most important part of your setup and you should go with something that is comfortable for you. Dont ever buy boots without trying them on in the store first. Take your top 2 picks and wear them on each leg and walk around for a good 10 mins in the store before you decide on a pair. If the dude selling you the boots is not pissed off, then you have rushed into making your decision. You will be in them for 8 hours and you want to make sure that you are comfortable.
Heres my 2 cents on boots. Stay away from Boa. Those clicker notches are retarded. they break easily, if someone were to crash into you, or even if you drop your board while carrying it and it hits the notch, they will break. If there is only one clicker, then you cannot tighten the upper and lower zones to individual levels which sucks. if you get the dual boa system, its still not as great as some of the others. The dual system feels like a weird steampunk boot since it has metal bars on the side of the boot fo keep the wires in place. Check out burton's speedzone lacing system. These boots will feel like normal boots since they dont have all the weird sith in them that you need to support boa. Also they are faster than the Boa lacing system. and that is a plus in freezing weather.
For the board, i would recommend the roxy olly pop. Just got one for my sis that rides in the ice coast and she loves it. this thing has reverse camber and magnetraction side cut which is great for icy conditions. this is the same tech as the gnu and lib-tech boards. quicksilver owns all these companies including roxy so they share their patented technology. google magnetraction MTX or banana traction BTX and check it out. You will never ride another board again. This is great for beginners since the board will cut into ice like a knife through butter. this means that you fall less in icy conditions and dont hurt yourself. The only downside of getting this board is that you will never really know how awesome it is since you havent ridden a board without BTX technology. Only someone that has ridden a special board (think helmet special) and then switches to BTX can really appreciate how totally badass it is.
Bindings dont really matter that much. I think the ones you have should work fine.
