Is this snowboard the right size for me??
I have a morrow snowboard. It is the 2006-07 one and it is the lotus. it is like 145 cm. I am 5'5" and about 95-100 pounds. I have only been snowboarding once but not with this board. Do you think it is right for me??
Ive never heard of a Morrow Lotus so i looked it up on the net, it seems to be an all mountain board which is more towards the freeride side of things. It also seems to be pretty stiff and more suited towards an advanced rider. Length wise its ok but if i were you id actally go a bit shorter as you are quite light, and because you are new to snowboarding a short board is easier to control and learn the basics on.
So you really need to get rid of that board and get a new one. Its hard for me to comment on Morrow itself as a brand as ive never ridden one of there boards, but the general image i get of them nowadays is they are not much good. Brands like Morrow and Lamar used to make good boards, but i imagine that now the people that run Morrow arnt the same at all as that ran the company say ten years ago.
Intrestingly i recently founed out that Lamar is made by the same company that makes LTD and Airwalk, so enough said on that one.
The sort of board that you should get is an entry level all mountain board ive listed some below which would suit you K2 Skyla
