For you to know exactly what to get him you have to give us more information like his physical height and weight, and where (what part of the world or US) he will be riding. A 130cm board would be good for anyone around 4'10" - 5'2" with average or up to husky weight.

*Basically the sizing rule of thumb is to get a board that stands about as tall as your chin. On kids its OK to have a boards a bit bigger (up to their eyes or forehead) because they're still growing.
