ski clothes help.. a list of clothes i should wear when i start skiing?
well, its my first time. and i'm a guy... so i have
-2 layer jacket
-snow pants
- "base" (regular clothes) layer clothes.
and my other friends recommend me getting long johns (long underwear)?
well i dont know. so what clothes should i wear at the mountain?
Don't worry too much about ski fashion. Function is more important.
Base layer: Synthetic or wool long underwear. I like Patagonia Capilene. There are several good brands.
Insulating layer: Polyester fleece pants and jacket. Polartech is best.
Outer shell: Windproof, waterproof and breathable. Gore-tex is excellent. Many companies have their own proprietary coatings.
Most important, don't wear cotton. Cotton is rotten. Cotton kills. Cotton keeps you cold when it gets wet.
