What is the differnce between all the k2 t-nine series (womens skis)?
I am looking at the lotta luv, true luv, sweet luv, one luv, xxx luv, whatever
Wife is about 5'8", 27.5cm boot.
Also - what are advantages and disadvantages over wider skis. I know they do better in powder but not sure what else..
Take into account her weight as well as height for the proper length. Heavier people tend to need longer skis. The descriptions on the K2 website are pretty good. http://k2skis.com/skis/tnine
Wider skis are better for powder and softer snow, but unless she skis powder all the time, something like the Lotta Luv wouldn't be a great choice. The True Luv is a pretty good all around ski and will perform well on groomed trails and harder snow but is wide enough to give some float as well as carve well in deeper stuff as well. A narrow ski favors harder snow on groomed trails, but is also good in moguls.
