i ordered skate skis but the sizing doesn't seem right?
the package came with boots, bindings, poles and skate skis
im new to skate skiing so i dont know how they are supposed to fit
im a 5'6 120 lbs 15 year old girl
they sent me skis that go up to my chin(which seems about right for the type of ski) but they say junior on them and look kinda childish, did they make a mistake or will they work out fine?
then i know the poles are supposed to be longer then the usual poles but they only come up to my armpits like regulare classic poles. should i send them back
and then i heard somewhere that the boots were supposed to hook at the toe and heel, but then mine only connect at the toe is this correct?
If you are a beginner skate skier, shorter skis will be easier to work with, although you are probably a little old for "junior" skis. They also measure skis by the amount of flex in them and your weight.
The poles should come up to about your mouth for skate skiing. Those sound too short.
The boots only hook in to the binding at the toe, but your foot won't slip around as long as you have a full plate on your binding (which you should).
