What do black and gold intertwined serpents symbolize?
Does anyone know meanings for the symbols of two intertwined serpents, one black and the other either gold or tan? I unexpectedly saw these serpents and want to know what they symbolize.
The single snake entwined on a pole is the Staff of Aesculapius (God of Medicine) and the double snake on a pole is the God of Commerce. In America they use the double snake for Medical but they are in fact using the symbol of Commerce......explains a lot.
