Do different ski boots really make that big of a difference when skiing?
Seems like im having a difficult time trying to decide what ski boots to get. I have skis but haven't bought my own boots before. Im an intermediate skier learning quickly so possibly soon advanced. I wear a 28.5 (US 10.5) and foot width is 101.6 cm.

Your boots are the most important part of your ski equipment!
You need to go to a reputable ski shop with experienced boot fitters. Try on several pair. The way its done is you'll first try on the shell only to find the best fit for your foot. Then they put the liners back in and you wear them for at least a few minutes, preferably longer. Then final adjustments are made and you're on your way. Sometimes you may need to bring them back after one or two days skiing to have the fit fine tuned. Take your time, try on several pair and don't worry so much about brand as fit.
